This is the first barrel-aged wine at Queroz. It is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot, and was aged in new Tronçais barrels imported from France. You can feel the aroma of the barrels along with the fruitiness of the Merlot, the sharp tannins of the Cabernet Sauvignon, and the fine, rich tannins of the Petit Verdot.
When bottled, the rich flavor of black fruits was accompanied by coffee and vanilla flavors. I hope that this wine will show a different face as it ages and tastes.
The name of the wine, "Nonde Kenegas," is also in Yamagata dialect. It is a more polite way of saying it than "Nonde Keros." However, it is a dialect that is not heard much these days.
