"Kamenoo" is a variety that was bred and popularized by Mr. Kameji Abe of Amarume Town, Yamagata Prefecture, in 1893.
Like many older varieties, it isn't flashy, but it's characterized by a rich, full-bodied flavor that evokes the bounty of the earth. Furthermore, even with long-term aging, off-flavors due to maturation rarely develop, allowing you to slowly enjoy it across a wide range of temperatures, from chilled to warmed.
It offers a cool yet soft aroma and a rich, mineral-like finish after a smooth mouthfeel.
