Numero Due 2022 [GRP2024.7]
Made from 100% grapes from our own farm in Nanyo City, Yamagata Prefecture. The grapes are grown organically without any pesticides other than Bordeaux mixture, and without fertilizer or compost. Two amphorae are used, one of which is a blend of Shine Muscat, Niagara, Albariño, and Delaware grapes, skin fermented in the amphora for nine days and aged in the amphora. The other is Delaware grapes, which are left in skin contact for 24 hours, then fermented and aged in the amphora. The wine is bottled after a 7-month aging period.
Fermented with wild yeast, unclarified, unfiltered, and no added antioxidants.
The aroma is a vivid, refreshing Muscat scent, with a deep, gorgeous impression reminiscent of celery-like aromatic vegetables and white peach. The taste is light and voluminous, which is linked to the color. You can feel the sweet and sour taste of fresh, juicy fruit and the smoothness of the amphora.
◆Food combinations
The wine maintains its freshness, so it goes well with cold dishes made with fresh ingredients. It also goes well with a complex yet light-bodied wine and a dish that is flavorful yet light with a refreshing accent.
