Albariño 2023
Albariño 2023
Currently, the variety that is attracting the most attention in the Japanese wine scene is Albariño, which is native to Spain.
It has an impressive aroma and flavor unique to the variety, and is being cultivated as a savior due to its excellent disease resistance.
Kimura, the owner of the park, was quick to notice the appeal of the product and took a proactive approach in Yamagata, making the first release in 2020.
Currently (September 2022), we are managing a field of about 2.1 hectares, the largest in Tohoku, using short tree cultivation. The gravelly red soil produces grapes of overwhelming ripeness, such as ripe yellow peach, honey lemon, and quince.
Once production stabilizes in the future, a variety of Albariños will be produced due to differences in harvest time and brewing methods.
Albariño is born with passionate blood, and we aim to create wines that evoke the radiant midsummer sun.
