We are a brewery founded in 1911 in the former Kirishima town of Kagoshima Prefecture, and we are one of the smallest breweries with the smallest production capacity (amount of shochu that can be made).
Former Kirishima Town is a small farming village with a population of 4,600 people, with 23 mountains over 1,000m and 48 crater lakes that add color to the landscape.
The "bright farming village" storehouse is located about 2 km from the center of the town and roughly halfway between the Kirishima Jingu Shrine, the largest shrine in Kagoshima Prefecture.
Behind the brewery, Takachihomine, known as the place where the descendant of the sun descended and Ryoma Sakamoto's honeymoon mountain, rises, and the beautiful Kirishima River flows. It is a very natural environment.
Sweet potatoes (produced in Kagoshima Prefecture) and rice (produced in Japan), which are the crystallization of the soul and sweat of farming villages, and Kametsuboimo Shochu, a bright farming village, are made from 3 stone jars born from the clear water of the Kirishima mountain range.
