This is an assemblage of three European black grape varieties (Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Sauvignon), aged in French Tronçais oak barrels. The wine is made from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 2018, now in their 7th year, and Petit Verdot in its 4th year, which has finally matured and produced grape clusters. We have expanded our Petit Verdot fields to add structure to our Bordeaux-style red wines.
2024 was a challenging year for grape cultivation due to heavy rainfall, which necessitated an earlier harvest than usual. The Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon showed lighter color, so we increased the proportion of Petit Verdot, known for its dark skins.
It offers a well-balanced aroma of violets, fruit flavors like blueberry and raspberry, and nuances derived from the oak barrels.
We anticipate the wine's taste will evolve as the vines age.
