Cuvee Cloche is our flagship series made from grapes grown in our own vineyard.
As it is unfiltered, there may be cloudiness or sediment (floating particles, etc.). *For the 2019 vintage, due to contract brewing (final bottling done in-house), it is labeled "Cuvee".
*As it is unfiltered and unpasteurized, please store in a cool, dark place.
Made from estate-grown, trellised Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, first harvested in 2019. Vinification took place at Gassan Wine (contract brewing), with maceration fermentation (co-fermentation). Aged for 23 months in a French oak barrel (one-year-old barrel) (15 months in Gassan Wine's tunnel cellar, followed by 8 months at Bellwood, totaling 23 months). Bottled at Bellwood, then aged in bottle for 41 months (as of January 2025).
Is it a rich, dry red wine? Or an orange wine? It has a harmony of roasted aromas with notes of dried flowers, rose, honey, and black tea, along with rich acidity and tannins. The color is a pale red with a slight orange tint (a dark rosé).
*A "one-year-old barrel" is a barrel in its second year of use after being a new barrel for one year.
*A transparent film has been applied to protect the label (to prevent scratches, peeling, discoloration of the postmark area, etc.).
*Please be aware that condensation may cause the label to peel or wrinkle.
