◎ A fusion of sake, wine barrel aging, and whiskey barrel aging
Sake from two breweries brewed in Yuza Town, a town famous for its spring water, is aged for a year in oak barrels from Tronçais, France, that have previously held wine and whiskey, resulting in a sake with a completely new flavor never before seen.
"Yusa Connect" is a sake created beyond common sense and boundaries. Please enjoy it in a wine glass to enjoy the color and aroma.

Sake aged in whiskey and wine barrels has been gaining recognition in recent years for its deep flavor, due to the rich aroma that remains in the barrels and the rich umami of sake. It is rare to use barrels that have been used to age both, resulting in a unique sake made in the prefecture.
The barrels are the highest quality, made from oak from the Tronçais region of France. Asahimachi Wine has used them to age red wine for seven years, and then acquired some that were used at Yuza Distillery for three years to age whiskey. They were then brought to Sugiyuu Warabioka Brewery and Takahashi Sake Brewery, both in Yuza Town. Sugiyuu used the sake rice "Yamagata Sake No. 104," which is the current "Yuki-gami," to further age a Junmai Daiginjo sake brewed in 2015 in the barrels. Takahashi Sake Brewery, known for "Tohoku Izumi," used the sake rice "Miyama Nishiki" to age a Junmai Daiginjo sake brewed in 2018. The rice polishing ratio for both is 40%.
