The approximately 80-year-old Muscat Bailey A tree was planted by Shigezaburo Takeda, the third generation of our company, and has been carefully nurtured to this day by the fifth generation. Grapes from old vines bring a deep flavor to wine, and vines as old as 80 years are rare both in Japan and abroad. The reason we have been able to maintain our vines in good health over such a long period of time is because we have had our own 15-hectare farm (grown using natural farming methods) since our founding in 1920, and have continued to grow grapes and make wine. In addition to the gorgeous aroma of Bailey A, please enjoy the powerful and deep flavor created by the age of the tree.
