The "Risshun Morning Press" is an annual event held by member stores of the Japan Famous Sake Association on the first day of spring each year.
This is the ultimate freshly pressed unpasteurized sake, which is bottled only in the early hours of the first day of spring and shipped from the cellar on the same day.
Furthermore, immediately after this sake is released from the brewery, it is purified at a visit to the local Hachiman Shrine, and is considered an auspicious sake, with prayers being offered to protect everyone involved in the event, from those who make it, transport it, and drink it, for good health (protection from misfortune), safety in their homes, and prosperity in business.
